Abstract/Citation: The Proclamation assures individuals and groups the right to public political meetings and peaceful demonstration subject to certain conditions. Written notice must be given to the proper authorities forty-eight hours in advance of such activities; such written notice must contain specified particulars relating to the nature, time, number of expected participants, purpose and location of such demonstrations or meeting. Further no such demonstrations may take place within 100 metres of specified buildings, such as embassies, churches or mosques, and marketplaces
