Abstract/Citation: Implements the requirements of the Immigration Nursing Relief Act of 1989 (Public Law 101-238) in respect of certain responsibilities of the Immigration and Naturalization Service, including determination of the eligibility of foreign nurses, control of their admission and periods of stay, etc. The rule is designed to facilitate the hiring of alien nurses thereby reducing the shortage of nurses in the USA, while protecting the rights of national nurses.
