Abstract/Citation: This Notification, which contains ten parts, provides for health and accident prevention in mining and other underground activities. The first part of the document covers the general provisions referring to infrastructure, qualification of the personnel and emergency procedures. Security requirements relating to working conditions are set out in the second part, and those relating to extraction technology in the third. The ventilation of pits, fire and flood prevention, installation of electrical equipment, transport and storage safety measures are also covered.
