Abstract/Citation: Replaces the Notification of Accidents and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 1980. They require certain persons to keep records and to report accidents at work to the Department of Health and Social Security. The new Regulations go further than the 1980 Regulations in extending the requirement for keeping records to gas suppliers, in increasing the number of types of injury at work which are reportable, in requiring the reporting of injuries sustained by certain trainees and in empowering the Health and Safety Executive to require certain further information. Repeals sections 82 and 140(1)(c) of the Factories Act 1961 (LS 1961 - UK 1), and 13 other instruments.
