| Abstract/Citation: | The present Law amends Laws on Tertiary Education Institutes N° 67(I) of 1996, 15(I) and 67(I) of 1997, 10(I) of 1999, 193(I) of 2002, 45(I) of 2003, 25(I) and 221(I) of 2004, 198(I) of 2007, 89(I) of 2008, 88(I) of 2009 and 1(I) of 2010, for the purposes of compliance with articles 13 and 14(6) of the European Parliament and Council Directive 2006/123/EC of 12 December 2006 on services in the internal market. It specifically amends article 2, by adding the term "Public Universities of Cyprus" and its definition; article 3, by excluding Private Universities from the scope of the Law and by defining Universities of Cyprus as Public; article 4, by adding a reservation concerning the participation in the activities of the Advisory Committee; article 15, by adjusting the procedure of registration of Institutes; articles 50 and 51. |
