Summary / Citation: Whenever it is necessary, the employer must provide protective equipment and working clothes appropriate to prevent the risk of accidents or harmful effects to the health of workers.
In the industry it is required, as additional resource whenever there is an insufficiency of technical means of protection, to make available to workers work clothes and personal protective equipment from operations related risks. They must be effective, adapted to the human body and maintained in good condition.
In the construction sector the following personal protective equipment must be available: helmets, boots and waterproof suits, masks and eyeglasses, safety belts and ropes, gloves, life jackets and buoys and breathing apparatus.
In the mining activity the personal protective equipment to be provided is as follows: work clothes, helmet, eyeglasses and gloves, flashlight, masks, ear, boots, breathing apparatus.
