Summary / Citation: The employers shall set up a medical service at the workplace after consultation with workers’ representatives or the OSH Committee.This service shall have doctors recruited primarily among practitioners graduated in occupational medicine and assisted by qualified paramedical staff. For this purpose, doctors shall be subject to a prior approval by decision of the Ministry of Labor, following consultation with the Ministry of Health.
Depending on the size and nature of business, on the geographical location and on the medical infrastructure, the health service work is organized:
1) either as a self-healing service for a single enterprise or a common service for different companies;
2) or, on the basis of an agreement with a public or private medical center/ hospital. In this case, the medical center/hospital shall have a service in occupational health with the equipment and properties required by the Labour Code.
