This decree, promulgated on 24 Oct. 1973 and entered into force on 27 Nov. 1973, revises the provisions of the Order of the Council of Ministers No.1325/1957, which it repeals. It lays down rules concerning the design, approval, construction, assembly, repair, starting up, operation and technical inspection of pressure vessels (steam boilers, hot water and boiling water tanks, etc.), lifting and hauling equipment (lifts, hoists, cranes, mechanically-operated inclines, cable railways, etc.) and non-industrial apparatus burning solid, liquid or gaseous fuel. There are 3 schedules to the Decree: (a) definition of equipment and apparatus falling within a special category rendering it liable to technical inspection and requiring prior authorisation before being used; (b) modes of drafting and approval of technical safety regulations applicable to these types of equipment and apparatus; (c) list of the equipment and apparatus to which the Decree applies.
