This Decree implements in Italy the provisions of the EEC directive on the protection of workers exposed to vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) in the workplace. A technical long-term exposure limit of 3ppm is introduced. The analytical methods used for the determination of VCM and the responsibilities of employers and workers are specified. In annex: more details on the determination methods and the exposure limits; directions for the medical surveillance of workers.
