Regulamento geral de segurança e higiene no trabalho nas minas e pedreiras [in Portuguese]
This Decree replaces 18/85 (CIS 87-740). It puts into effect, as of Nov.1990, regulations concerning: generalities (aims, scope and definitions, responsibilities of employers and workers); obligation of keeping detailed plans of undertakings; access to underground workings; transport of goods and workers; extraction; cables; safety and emergency signalling; opening and extension of shafts; support of mineworkings; ventilation; lighting; use of explosives; explosive atmospheres and dusts; precautions against flooding; prevention and control of fires; machinery and equipment; open-air exploration; electrical installations; health protection; first aid and rescue operations; reporting and investigation of accidents; health and safety services.
