Presidential Decree extending to the territory of Macao, in the same terms as those committing the Portuguese State, the provisions of ILO Convention No.115 of 21 June 1960 concerning the protection of workers against ionizing radiation (CIS 89-1767). The Convention places the emphasis on protection measures.

This decree defines the role of the National Directorate for Primary Health Care in the field of radiation protection and it establishes, as part of the Directorate, the National Commission for Protection against Radiations (Comissão Nacional de Proteção contra Radiações, CNPCR), whose composition and role are also defined.

Substâncias, agentes e processos industriais que comportam risco cancerígeno, efectivo ou potencial, para os trabalhadores profissionalmente expostos [in Portuguese]
Decree establishing 2 lists of carcinogens, listing for each, routes of entry into the human body and body organs that are primarily affected. List 1 includes 16 chemical substances, mixtures of substances, industrial processes and physical agents with proven carcinogenicity. List 2 includes 12 chemical substances and groups of substances which are probably carcinogenic in man. Publication of this decree constitutes part of the legal process aiming at the ratification by Portugal of ILO Convention No.139.
