The Factories (Asbestos) Regulations, 1980.
Regulations (effective 15 May 1980) issued under the 1973 Factories Act. Contents: definitions, application; duties of employers and occupiers of factory premises; manufacturing processes, building operations and engineering works covered by the regulations; exhaust ventilation; respiratory protective equipment; protective clothing; medical and x-ray examinations; vacuum cleaning of premises (dustless methods); storage and distribution of loose asbestos; asbestos waste (receptacles, warning notices on receptacles); store-rooms for, and cleaning of protective equipment. Prohibition of employment of young persons under 18.
