CISDOC database

The CIS bibliographic database contains about 70,000 citations of documents that deal with occupational accidents and diseases as well as ways of preventing them. The types of documents are: laws and regulations, chemical safety data sheets, training material, articles from periodical publications, books and standards. Every record contains a detailed bibliographic description, a full abstract and indexing descriptors drawn from the CIS Thesaurus. The CISDOC database is updated on a continuous basis.

The database is made available to the public via the Internet

  • via a free search interface on our site; also in French and Spanish; and
  • under the name CISILO in two different formats by the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety: on the CCINFOWEB and on the ILOCIS servers.

The basic resource of CISDOC is the collection of documents received by the documentation centre of CIS. The references to all of these references are also available online: the latest documents and the archives since 2002, as well as the list of abstracted periodicals.

As a subset of CISDOC, archived legislation is also available via browsing by countries (provinces, organizations) and subject categories.
