| Resumen |
A study was made of the sign, magnitude and lifetime of the electric charge developed by the triboelectric exchange between textile fibres of different chemical type. The development of the charge is shown to take place to such an extent as to be useful in the production of efficient air filters. Such filters are stable if one of the components of the mixture is of a highly insulating type. Material made in this way is shown to have a high filtration efficiency and is capable of satisfying existing standards with ease. |
