| Resumen |
This work presents a method of analysis of working conditions developed on the basis of 20 years of industrial experience by the Renault National Automobile Factory Corporation (France). Aims were to improve the safety of the working environment; reduce the physical and mental workload; reduce the stresses of repetitive or assembly-line work; and create an increasing number of satisfying jobs. Assessment of workplaces, for which 8 factors were considered (safety, physical environment, physical load, nervous load, autonomy, relations, repetitiveness, content), was based on 27 criteria scored from 1 (the least stress) to 5 (the greatest). The profile of a workpost or a production unit is obtained by plotting the different scores for each criterion onto a graph. Remedial measures are immediately obvious. The method can easily be adapted to a great variety of situations and objectives. |
