| Resumen |
A method and equipment based on myoelectric signal power changes were designed to determine localised muscle fatigue during automobile body production. Laboratory simulation and factory test results agreed. Assembly work with arms above the shoulders and heavy and light wet-rubbing of car bodies were studied. Heavy work produced significantly higher intensities of fatigue incidents than light work, and the distribution of intensity values over muscles corresponded to engagement of muscles in the work. This distribution can indicate how the work situation might be changed to make the work less strenuous. |
