| Resumen |
Report on investigations in plants with exposure to asbestos-containing dust, such as brake lining production plants, the automobile industry, and automobile repair shops. The relevant working methods are described. The main part is devoted to dust measurement methods at the workplace and to laboratory tests. The brake linings mostly contained between 20-30% by weight of chrysotile. The principal dust-producing operations and the length of exposure are outlined. Conclusions and recommendations concerning the installation of dust exhaust systems and preventive medical examinations. |
