| Resumen |
Section 18A of the Hong Kong Boilers and Pressure Vessels Ordinance stipulates that for the purpose of ensuring acceptable standards in the design, manufacture, installation, maintenance, examination, testing and operation of boilers and pressure vessels, the Authority may give advice, either generally in the form of the Codes of Practice or particularly in writing, to any person. This document consists of code of practice issued by the Occupational Safety and Health Branch of Hong Kong's Labour Department under the provisions of section 18A of the Ordinance. Contents: list of applicable regulations; the Ordinance; responsibilities; registration; examination. Appendices include examples of the type of equipment that holders of different certificates of competency are allowed to operate, and offences and penalties in cases of contraventions of the provisions under the Ordinance. |
