Abstract United Kingdom regulations on the transport of dangerous goods are to be replaced by a single regulation adopting the European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR) to be entitled the Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road and Rail Regulations (CDGRR). This paper compares the existing regulations for the United Kingdom explosives sector with the draft text of ADR 2001 in order to highlight areas of differences likely to have an impact on industry in the United Kingdom.
