Abstract The Biocidal Products Regulations (BPR) apply to producers of biocides and of their active ingredients, as well as to importers of these substances into the United Kingdom. The purpose of the Regulations is to ensure that all products on sale are safe when used properly and that they can be traded freely within the European Union. Contents include: responsibilities; definition of biocidal products; ill effects; applicability and enforcement of the regulations.
