Title Safety incentive programs: How to make them work
Bibliographic information Nov. 1999, Vol.61, No.11, p.85-88. Illus.
Abstract Safety incentive programmes can add value to the company's injury prevention efforts, but they should be viewed with a critical eye. Safety incentive programmes are part of workplace safety and health programmes, but should not be a substitute for them. They may also pressure employees not to report injuries for fear that by doing so, they will ruin the chances of their co-workers of winning the incentives. Two examples of successful safety incentive programmes are presented.
