Title The management of exposure to hand-arm vibration

Abstract Glasgow City Council (GCC) employs approximately 35,000 people in all areas of work, including construction, engineering, manufacturing and horticulture. Of these employees, around 4,000 are exposed to occupational vibration at varying levels as part of their normal work activities. In this article, GCC's health and safety officer explains the GCC approach to tackling and managing Hand-Arm Vibration (HAV).
