Abstract The risks of harming persons in the vicinity of major hazardous industrial sites are calculated to evaluate the tolerability of risks against established criteria. The objective of this study is to examine the sensitivity of risk assessment results to weather parameters (wind speed, weather stability, release orientation). Mathematical models are used for risk calculations performed with five weather sets.
