Abstract This monograph presents the views and expert opinions of an IARC working group which met in Lyon, France 8-15 June 1993. Overall evaluation: chronic infection with hepatitis B or hepatitis C virus is carcinogenic to humans; infection with hepatitis D virus is not classifiable as to its carcinogenicity to humans.
