Title Evaluation of the slip resistance of six types of women's safety shoe using a newly developed testing machine
Bibliographic information Apr. 1997, Vol.13, No.2, p.175-182. Illus. 11 ref.
Abstract The slip resistance of six types of women's safety shoe was assessed using a machine designed by Worksafe Australia for measuring the coefficient of friction between shoes and floor samples under realistic slipping conditions. The machine and test procedures are described. Differences were found between the six tested safety shoes, but all gave reasonable performance. The machine gave consistent results under test conditions recommended by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
