Bibliographic information Jan.-Mar. 1995, Vol.10, No.1, p.167-175. 71 ref.
Abstract Epidemiologic and experimental studies on the causes and symptoms of sick-building syndrome are reviewed. Human risk factors are identified and other factors which may contribute to the syndrome are discussed: ventilation, presence of volatile organic compounds or bioaerosols, and psychosocial aspects of work. In the majority of cases, engineering problems and pollutant sources can be identified that contribute to the generation of complaints.
