Abstract This code of practice provides guidance on compliance with relevant sections of the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992 and Regulations 1995, in order to minimize the risk of occupational illness or injury resulting from exposure to hazardous substances. Contents: application of the code and definitions; responsibilities of employers (provision of information, risk assessment, prevention and control of exposure, monitoring, training and supervision); responsibilities of suppliers, employees and others.
