Bibliographic information Sep.-Oct. 1996, Vol.20, No.5, p.19-22. 14 ref.
Abstract A questionnaire survey was conducted among Aboriginal health workers in New South Wales, Australia, to assess their tobacco use and their awareness of an ongoing project to quit smoking. Of the 22 respondents, 14 were current smokers, 6 were nonsmokers and 2 were ex-smokers. Most respondents said they were interested in special staff training to help others to quit smoking. These preliminary results add to the limited data available on Aboriginal smoking habits.
