| Abstract |
This report is a translation of a report finalized in December 1993. Main conclusions: p-chloroaniline is well-absorbed by the skin; the main acute effect is methaemoglobinaemia; occupational exposure has resulted in methaemoglobin formation, cyanosis, anaemia and acute intoxication; the substance has a strong tendency to form haemoglobin adducts, and their determination can be used in monitoring workers' exposure; animal studies indicate that the substance should be regarded as carcinogenic in humans. |
