Title A graduate course in work site health promotion for occupational health practitioners
Bibliographic information Mar. 1996, Vol.38, No.3, p.284-289. 22 ref.
Abstract The rationale, teaching strategies and outcomes of an academic course in work site health promotion at the University Medical School in Tel-Aviv, Israel are described. The course included encouraging the students to undergo health screening and to follow a personal health promotion plan. A 6-month follow-up of the 35 course participants showed that most were still adhering to their plans and maintaining their health promotion achievements. The course format is considered to be an effective means of educating health promoters.
