Title Noise exposure of truck drivers: A comparative study
Bibliographic information June 1996, Vol.57, No.6, p.564-566. 16 ref.
Abstract The continuous A-weighted sound pressure, maximum sound pressure levels and percentage noise dose were determined in the cabs of two different brands of trucks manufactured with identical engines. No significant differences regarding the individual noise exposure of the truck drivers were found. Comparison of measured noise exposures with existing criteria revealed that the truck drivers were exposed to noise levels that were potentially hazardous to their hearing.
