| Abstract |
As a consequence of new requirements of EU directives regarding the elimination of restrictions on intra-EU trade, the Italian institute ISPESL (Istituto Superiore Prevenzione e Sicurezza del Lavoro) has the following obligations relating to the design, construction and conformity testing of passenger lifts: introduction of proposals for safety rules and standards; new procedures for the conformity testing of equipment (total quality control, type approval); proposed developments in line with these new responsibilities. |
