Abstract This monograph presents the views and expert opinions of an IARC Working Group which met in Lyon, France, 10-17 October 1995. Overall evaluation: occupational exposures in printing processes, carbon black, 3,7-dinitrofluoranthene, 3,9-dinitrofluoranthene, 2,4-dinitrotoluene, 2,6-dinitrotoluene, 2-nitroanisole, nitrobenzene and tetranitromethane are possibly carcinogenic in humans (Group 2B); printing inks, chloronitrobenzenes, 3,5-dinitrotoluene, musk ambrette, musk xylene, nitrotoluenes and 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene are not classifiable as to their carcinogenicity in humans (Group 3).
