Abstract International chemical safety card (Synonym: 4-methyl-2-pentanol). Short-term exposure effects: skin absorption; delayed effects; irritation of the eyes, skin and respiratory tract; pulmonary oedema; neurotoxic effects (central nervous system); may affect the liver and kidneys. Long-term exposure effects: skin sensitization; neurotoxic effects (central nervous system); may affect the liver and kidneys. Occupational exposure limits: TLV: 25ppm, 104mg/m3 (TWA); 40ppm, 167mg/m3 (STEL) (skin) (ACGIH 1990-1991).
