Abstract This directive, which came into force 1 January 1994, applies to all work with hardening plastics. General requirements cover work with all hardening plastics, especially spraying, work with hot objects and control of hazardous substances in the air. Employers must provide workers with medical examinations before work is initiated, and again if a worker shows respiratory problems. Cleaning and general housekeeping are covered. Special chapters deal with epoxies, polyurethanes, esters, acrylates and amino- and phenoplastics. Comments and rules of application are included.
