Abstract These Regulations were made on 9 Mar. 1994 and came into force on 1 Apr. 1994. They require the approval and publication of an "approved carriage list" (CIS 94-339) and of "Approved Methods for the Classification and Packaging of Dangerous Goods for Carriage by Road and Rail" (CIS 94-2041). They prohibit the carriage or consignment of dangerous goods if they have not been classified, packaged or marked appropriately. Further requirements and derogations are specified. In annex: table of classification (with hazardous and relevant properties, packing group, class number, danger signs and optional lettering shown); subsidiary hazard signs (illustrations and specifications); exemptions for marking requirements; amendments to related regulations.
