||Polycarboxylate polymers as used in detergents

||This report reviews the available data on the toxicology and ecotoxicology of polycarboxylate polymers. Very little information is available on the effects of these substances in man. In skin tests on human volunteers, no evidence of irritation or sensitization was observed. Based on animal studies, it is concluded that exposure to polycarboxylates does not pose any particular hazard to humans.
