Title Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease in individuals occupationally exposed to BSE
Bibliographic information 11 Sep. 1993, Vol.342, No.8872, p.680. 1 ref.
Abstract A case of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD) is briefly reported in a dairy farmer who was directly exposed to cases of bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE) on his farm. This second such report still does not associate CJD and BSE on statistical grounds, although it does emphasise the continuing importance of accurate diagnosis and reporting of all cases of CJD, especially those from potentially at risk occupations.
