Abstract International chemical safety card. Short-term exposure effects: skin absorption; irritation of the eyes; may affect the gastrointestinal and central nervous systems; renal and hepatic damage. Long-term exposure effects: dermatitis; may have effects on the central nervous system, kidneys, liver, blood, eyes and the immune system; methaemoglobinaemia; may impair male fertility, cause birth defects and retard development of the newborn.
