Abstract |
This summary report deals with cases in Great Britain involving acute symptoms following pesticide exposure. Investigations include suspected poisoning during ground spraying and other agricultural operations, aerial spraying complaints, environmental incidents and incidents involving non-agricultural use of pesticides. Details provided include activity in progress and chemical being used, the number, sex and age of persons involved and a brief summary of the incident or nature of the complaint. Details are also given of enforcement action taken under the Food and Environment Protection Act 1985 along with the results of a survey of pesticide stores carried out by the Agricultural Inspectorate in October 1989. |
