Abstract The woodworking industry was the setting for a pilot operation designed to help solve the ventilation problems specific to this sector and improve the air purification process in workplaces. This study shows first the combined influence of both air cleaner efficiency and capture efficiency of local exhaust devices, and also the vulnerability of this solution in the event of a dust collector malfunction.
