Abstract Proceedings of an international conference on industrial risk management, held in Zurich, Switzerland, 16-17 January 1989. Papers include: design of "user-friendly" plants; bridging engineering gaps; prediction and control of risks; comparative product-life-cycle confrontation of risks; liability and compensation; complexity, safety and reliability of the car; residual risk and its distribution in the project life cycle.
