A summary of changes in the operation of the Labour Inspectorate is followed by chapters on selected areas of interest in 1988: dock work, construction, Labour Inspectorate activities in selected industries and geographical regions, application of the Labour Law between 1983 and 1988, alcohol in the workplace, the quality of women's jobs, physical workload, noise, child labour, the interior climate, work at home, the furniture industry, stress, safety committees and services, nuclear power stations, drivers' working time and privatisation of the boiler inspectorate. Fourteen tables of statistics for 1988 and some previous years. Addresses and telephone numbers of national and district offices of the labour, harbour and boiler inspectorates. |
