| Abstract |
A noise attenuator for gas pressure control stations made of porous NiCr-alloy is described. In the numerous pores of the attenuator, gas expansion and pressure reduction take place gradually which reduces turbulance and therefore noise production. Measurements prior to and after installation of the noise attenuator yielded a sound pressure level drop from 91 to 61dB(A). |
