| Abstract |
The safe handling, storage and transportation of carcinogens and the disposal of harmful wastes are discussed and the minimum requirements for a storage and handling room are presented. Topics included are: hazards in handling (identification, spillage problems, staff protection, the room and its equipment) and disposal and spillage treatment (aflatoxins, N-nitrosamines, N-nitrosamides, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, hydrazines, aromatic amines, halo ethers, antineoplastic agents). |
