Title Avoiding danger from buried electricity cables
Bibliographic information HM Stationary Office, P.O. Box 276, London SW8 5DT, United Kingdom, Apr. 1985. 12p. Illus.
Abstract This guidance note is intended to help to minimise the possibility of inadvertently striking buried electricity cables during excavation work. It sets out a system of work based on obtaining as much information as possible about the cable network in the area of proposed excavation before excavation starts (plans about all electricity cables in the area, the use of suitable cable location devices), and then using this information to plan and ensure safe digging methods. Relevant legislation and first aid practices are appended.
