Abstract Chemical safety information sheet. Synonyms: Santox; ethyl p-nitrophenyl phenylphosphonothioate. Exposure limits: OSHA PEL (1985) = 0.5mg/m3; ACGIH TLV (1983) = 0.5mg/m3; IDLH (NIOSH/OSHA, 1978) = 50mg/m3. Skin absorption. Incompatible with strong oxidisers. Toxicity: extremely hazardous by all routes of exposure; estimated lethal dose for humans = 0.3g for a 70kg person. Symptoms and effects are typical of organophosphorus pesticide poisoning.
