Title Risk of hepatitis B in hospital personnel

Abstract Epidemiologic study involving 1,323 employees of Ohio State University Hospital, in the USA. 105 employees with present or past evidence of hepatitis B virus infection were identified. Statistical analysis indicated that nonwhites, males, discontinuity of employment, and frequency of contact with blood products constituted the most important risk factors in acquiring hepatitis B virus infections.
