Abstract Description of 2 procedures, the Technical Safety Audit (TSA) and the Process Safety Review (PSR) that can be employed to prevent disasters in the petrochemical and chemical industries. The TSA is a careful and detailed hazard evaluation of plant facilities, operations, materials used and stored. A PSR is defined as means to identify potential hazards and to ensure that control measures are specified.
