Abstract Based on findings in mice and rats, this pesticide should be considered, for practical purposes, as being a potential carcinogen to man. It can enter the body by inhalation, ingestion and the skin. It accumulates in adipose tissue and biomagnifies in food chains. Other aspects covered: identity, properties and analytical methods; distribution in the environment; exposure levels; toxicology; effects on man, animals and the environment.
